WELCOME
Hi, I'm Pat Kent and thanks for stopping by to take a look at my site, [www.patkent.co.uk].
The sites been up and running now for a couple of years now and although this year has been mad in terms of my day job, I still enjoy trying to update it as often as possible.
I've always been heavily into comic art and the new crop of talent that has hit the comic market over recent years stirred me into picking up pencil and paper to start doodling again.
Buying the odd bit of comic art off of e-Bay and the like, made me realise that a lot of crap is offered for sale to the public, and it prompted me to think, "Well I used to be able to draw a bit, and I'm sure that I could do better than that!" when I witnessed some of the pieces on offer.
A chance chat with Dave Robert's, [who runs "DSR Design" and who put this site together for me] with his Dad Steve and my brother Matt over a curry one night, made me think that maybe I should chance my arm and "publish" a few pieces via the Web. Hence the appearance of this site, I hope my drawings do justice to all of Dave's hard work, talents and design skills as well as the people I try to draw.
Please feel free to look around the site, I'm a lover of glamour and pin-up art of the 40's and 50's so there's some "low-level" nudity in some of the drawings, but hopefully nothing too racy or daring to shock too many sensibilities and morals out there. If you're very easily offended then please don't go any further and go in search of the Muffin the Mule website....On second thoughts don't do that maybe you'd better try the Rupert the Bear site instead.
There's a contact link floating around the bottom of this page and at the top of each of the individual sections, comments are always appreciated, depending on how pleasant or blunt you want to be!
I hadn't intended originally on selling work but a few people have contacted me to enquire and are now the proud owners of a piece of graphite covered paper with my signature on it. If you're interested in buying any of the pieces or copies of them please do not hesitate to drop me a line. I'll also undertake commissions depending mainly on how much time I have available.
Hope you enjoy the site, and please feel free to drop me a line to let me know what you think of the site and my work.
Regards
Pat Kent
